The operator is the link between the client and the driver; without their organisational skills, nothing would be possible.

The operator organises and partially plans road freight transport operations, in accordance with regulations and safety rules, with the aim of quality (deadlines, costs, service, etc.).
He ensures that the delivery is made under optimal conditions. His activity is never monotonous and can change from day to day, depending on whether the order book is overflowing or whether weather-related disruptions interfere with delivery.

He supervises driving agents, manages potential incidents, ensures compliance with safety standards (customs regulations), and maintains regular contact with the client.

The operator must carry out the following tasks:

  • Organise the order processing
  • Define the transport conditions and costs with the client and organise the different stages (collection, delivery, ...)
  • Compile the road transport file and send the documents to the drivers
  • Organise and plan the drivers' tour schedules
  • Monitor and control the execution of transport, identify anomalies, and implement corrective measures
  • Provide technical assistance to drivers (route changes, delays) in the event of a breakdown or accident
  • Carry out an activity follow-up
  • Check the elements of activity and administrative management of personnel

«My role is to supervise the driving staff and to ensure the processes for the delivery of goods.»
